Life is all about balancing your mind body and soul, and we do it by providing food to all these three aspect of our learners. To keep our learners body fit, we have build cricket pitches, swimming pools, volleyball courts, yoga practices, tennis court, football field, basket ball court.
We have set up volley ball court for our young learners. Volleyball is a fun sport for all ages. The sooner kids start playing, the more skilled they will become — it takes years to master some volleyball skills. Kids are able to learn most volleyball basics, such as passing, serving, and setting. Other skills, such as spiking, might be too complicated for young learners. The key to working with kids is to keep it fun and give lots of encouragement.
The football field in gurukul is ready and we are already exploring it by providing coaching to our young learners. While playing football, learners learn to get health benefits, camaraderie, discipline, work ethic, team work. Physical toughness, mental toughness and cross-training.
The cricket pitch which we have provided is of best in class. Playing cricket improves endurance, stamina, physical fitness, and hand eye co-ordination. Cricket also involves short bursts of sprinting and throwing which is good for cardio vascular health. The game is good for developing team skills.
The world class swimming pool which we have build comes with all safety standards set up for kids. There are two types one is with 2.5 feet and the other one is with 4.5 feet. Activities like tae karate are a fun way for both boys and girls to achieve fitness and focus. Some parents may think they also promote violence, but that’s a myth, according to experts. The martial arts actually help teach self-discipline and socialization skills. The Karate Master at our gurukul helps the learners to get their basics done and groom them into well renowned karate experts.
We have laced down a well structured skating ground. Enjoyment is the key ingredient in every sport or exercise program…especially for children. Roller skating provides just that. Equivalent to jogging in terms of health benefits, caloric consumption, reduction of body fat and leg strength development, skating provides them with all the above said benefits
The tennis court has been built to the perfection to bring about grooming tennis players to the state level at gurukul. Playing tennis regularly strengthens the bones of young players and has been proven to help prevent osteoporosis later on in life. Hand-Eye Coordination, Aerobic and Cardiovascular Exercise, Speed, Flexibility, Gross Motor Coordination, Fine Motor Coordination and Agility are the other benefits of playing tennis.
We check regularly that our learners and kids go for jogging on a regular basis. The track has been laid for them separately to practise jogging. Jogging enhances their mood. It enhances their immunity and protects them from various illnesses. It works for their brain and heart. This fun exercises for kids helps the generation of ‘feel good’ chemicals in the brain and provides them with a sense of happiness and fulfilment.
By playing both indoors and outdoors, children have even more opportunities to engage in physical activity, which adds additional benefits to the learners playtime. The American Heart Association suggests that kids should be active for 60 minutes every day. Kids are more likely to use their creativity when engaging in certain activities indoors. Arts and crafts and story time encourage kids to be creative, thoughtful and imaginative in ways they can’t always express outside.
